Modern villa garden

The clients were a family living on a new-build estate in Pencaitland, East Lothian. Having bought the last house built on the estate, their garden consisted of very little topsoil and poor turf and as a result they felt a frustrating inability to grow anything much in their garden. They had a small patio area and a pergola already in the garden but were unsure of what to do with the rest of the garden.

The clients wanted a beautiful, low maintenance garden with plenty of lawn for the dog and kids to enjoy. The garden was to be mainly used for entertaining and relaxing in and the planting was to give year round colour and structure to complement the newly designed space.

Plants used in this design:

Salvia ‘Ostfriesland’ | Acer Trompenburg | Fuschia riccartonii | Passiflora caerulea

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL...

"We hired Lisa for a garden redesign. Lisa created a detailed design and then gave me pictures on a mood board so I could visualise the result. The outcome is wonderful. One thing we particularly liked was Lisa's ability to break down everything into a menu of options. The flexibility is fantastic."
